She is like the merchant ships,
She brings her food from afar.
She searches for, and gathers, good quality food for her husband and family.
She'll walk for miles for grapes, corn, grain, berries, garlic, onions...
She brings it all into her household.

She is not idle. She seeks materials and chooses to toil and make items from them.

Some synonyms of evil: immoral, sinful, dishonourable, corrupt, depraved, malicious, malevolent, contemptible, ignoble...
All the days of her life. Not just some of the days of her life. Not just when it suits her. Not just when things are great. All the days of her life.

The heart of her husband safely trusts her;
So he will have no lack of gain.
Trust: believe in the reliability, truth, or ability of. (Google).
Gain: an increase in wealth or resources. (Google).
His heart is at peace, because he can rest in trust, knowing that she compliments his hard work, so that they will prosper together.
Virtuous: having or showing high moral standards. (Google).

Verse 10:
Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.
For she is treasure.
She is worth more than rubies.
Rubies are precious. Rubies are beautiful. Rubies are exquisite. Rubies are valuable. Rubies are very stable, and have a hardness to them which is a good quality. Rubies need to be unearthed.
With the surge of reality television and other viewing platforms, many put their worth in how much they are watched, looked at or how easily recognizable they are.
It's a world of 'look at me'. It's a world of 'look at what I'm doing'. It's a world of 'followers' and 'stats'. It's a world of 'image'. It's a world of 'self' and 'selfies'. It's a world of 'status'.
It's not a real world. Why? Because the minute one hibernates, there is always someone else to follow.
